Party Room C, The Crossings Intercontinual Worldgating Facility, Tuesday Evening [Fandom Time]

It had taken a little bit of work, but with one of his best friends being responsible for the Crossings, Ronan had managed to not only reserve a room, but also to arrange transportation to the Crossings for all of his friends who wanted to come by -- without needing to negotiate Portalocity.

(It had cost him a pretty penny, but it wasn't like he was spending his money on much of anything else lately; even when not on errantry, wizards were popular through-out most of the universe.)

So, here Ronan was, waiting for people to show up as he arranged the last few nibbly foods on one of the side tables. It wasn't every day that a guy turned twenty, after all.


[So I completely flaked and forgot to email invites out to everyone. Oops? If you think you'd have gotten one, you probably got one; Ronan sent them out to pretty much everyone he's ever known at Fandom High.

"Everything's fine," Jack reassured him, more or less accurately. (He'd get to the bit about Sebastien later, or possibly never, considering where they were.) "It's just been a long few weeks. And I always miss you."

"Mostly good. Dinah getting kidnapped sucked, but we got her back safely. And Lee and I made up, so that's good," Tony said.

Jack blinked. "I'm happy for you and Lee, but what happened with Dinah?"

"Some psycho enemy of her sisters grabbed her in Baltimore," Tony explained. "Momoko grabbed a few of us and we got her out safely."

"My god, that must have been terrifying," Jack said. "No one was hurt?"

"Not seriously," Tony said. "The worst part was worrying we'd be too late," he admitted.

"But you got there in time," Jack observed. "You were lucky. Did you take care of the person who did it?"

"She got away," Tony said. "Momoko wanted to go after her, but I figured just getting everyone out safe was a win." He stuffed his hands in his pockets and shrugged."Maybe we should've tried to take her down when we had the chance."

Jack shook his head. "If it had happened, it would have been good," he conceded. "But everyone being safe is more important."

Tony nodded. "I just worry she'll come back. Keep an eye out for any strangers around town, will you? Just in case?"

"Of course," Jack promised. "Any particular kind of stranger I should be looking for?"

"Sounds like she'd stand out in a crowd," Jack decided, raising his eyebrows. "I'll watch for her."

"I don't know what she'd look like normally," Tony admitted. "She's probably sneaky enough to blend in."
