Party Room C, The Crossings Intercontinual Worldgating Facility, Tuesday Evening [Fandom Time]

It had taken a little bit of work, but with one of his best friends being responsible for the Crossings, Ronan had managed to not only reserve a room, but also to arrange transportation to the Crossings for all of his friends who wanted to come by -- without needing to negotiate Portalocity.

(It had cost him a pretty penny, but it wasn't like he was spending his money on much of anything else lately; even when not on errantry, wizards were popular through-out most of the universe.)

So, here Ronan was, waiting for people to show up as he arranged the last few nibbly foods on one of the side tables. It wasn't every day that a guy turned twenty, after all.


[So I completely flaked and forgot to email invites out to everyone. Oops? If you think you'd have gotten one, you probably got one; Ronan sent them out to pretty much everyone he's ever known at Fandom High.

"Like what?" Ronan asked, grabbing a tray of sandwiches and offering it to Hoshi. "Stuff back home, mostly?"

"Yes and no," said Hoshi, grabbing a sandwich but discretely checking its contents before taking a bite. "I applied to a ton of different schools, even a few in different times periods. I'm pretty sure Oxford is a long shot, but I'm hoping to at least get into UC-Berkeley or University of the Amazon. And Tokyo University will work as a back-up. I can get into that one with my eyes closed."

Ronan laughed a little. "And here I'm still trying to decide if I want to go to university," he said. "Although Tarvehk is a nice planet, and their school takes off-world students."

"For the longest time, I figured I would just be joining Starfleet after graduation, but I may have done something to completely screw up those plans," said Hoshi. The situation was a lot more fixable than she realized yet, but for now, she was making her plans with the assumption that Starfleet would never take her back.

"Remind me later to send you an application for Tarvehk?" Ronan asked. "I mean, it can't hurt to apply, after all, and I think you'd enjoy it."
