Room 507, Tuesday Evening
Nov. 27th, 2007 11:02 amEverything was ready.
Ronan had opted not to go with any of his original considerations, so it wasn't Italian set on the make-shift table in his room, but rather a fragrant -- and quite spicy -- beef curry, along with basmati rice, naan bread, pappadums, and a cucumber raita. There was even no wine; Ronan had opted instead for tall, thick, lemon milkshakes, protected from melting by a carefully placed wizardry. The citrusy flavour, he thought, would go well with the spicy curry -- and the milk would help cut the heat of the spice, should Peter need it.
He had contemplated going all-out: candles, soft music. In the end, however, Ronan had decided to just let the food speak for itself, and hope that Peter simply enjoyed his company -- no music or candlelight would affect that. ... And might seem a bit much, at that.
But the food was steaming and fragrant -- and probably making half the floor wonder from where it was coming -- so all Ronan needed now was Peter.
[For the date! Up early for SP.]
