Ronan knew full well what day it was. In fact, he'd made sure to get up early and start cooking, just in case. Hey, if he didn't have any kids show up, he could always share the food with kids of people who had.

Anyone walking by 33 Apocalypse on Saturday morning, though, would see a new sign affixed near the front door:

Nolan Home for Wayward Refugees

Scrawled underneath was:

and Temporally Displaced Children
All Welcome

Anyone hungry? There's bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, fried potatoes, fried tomatoes, and waffles. Lots and lots of waffles. And, with the open door, the scent was probably drifting out into the street.

[Open for Ronan's kids, visitors, other people's kids, and anyone else who wants some breakfast.]

"No, you knock."

"Why should I knock? You knock."

"Because I was here first!"

"Nuh-uh. I was totally here before you were. You've never been to Fandom before, remember? And I have!"

"I mean I got to here first this time. And anyway, your face is stupid."

"Tell that to Dad, he gave it to me."

Ronan? Someone was outside. Well, two someones.

"Oh, hey, I think he's cooking!"

"Duh, have you met our Dad?"

Right. So when Felix came through the portal, he realized a)it was daylight and b)he wasn't actually certain where Jack and Sebastien lived in this dimension, let alone how to reach them. But, as the ward of two vampires, he was used to being resourceful. He smelled breakfast, spotted a name on the sign that had come up a time or two in Jack's stories about school, and impulsively wandered up to the door.

"I don't mean to bother you," he called in, a French accent dancing about his voice. "this may be an odd question, but do you know a Jack Priest?"

He eyed the food hungrily. Teenage boys...

Even though she couldn't sense her parents on the island, Victoria wasn't worrying. Even at eight she'd heard enough stories to know it was Fandom. Weirdness happened but things always worked out in the end.

The sign caught Victoria's attention and she grinned. Mom and Dad might not be around but she was pretty sure that sign meant another familiar face was.

Without hesitation she orbed herself into the house. Specifically, the kitchen.

A shimmer of sparkly lights announced her arrival, followed quicky by a loud "Uncle Ronan!!! I'm here!!"

"What's for breakfast?"

[And now I go poof till about 1:30 or so.]

Betty Ross Junior was not the nicest of teenagers at the best of times. When she was agitated and liable to smash down a wall at the drop of a hat, she was much more of a handfull. In this particular instance, however, she was accompanied by her younger half-sister, who was far more patient and, as much as Betty hated to say it, far more clever.

"Look, see, we found it," Betty said with a huff. She was red in the face, but she was red pretty much everywhere. "We found stupid Dr. Flame's house, just like we're supposed to. Go say hi to your stupid dad, and now I'm going to go find mine, okay?"

While they were only on the porch, Betty's voice had a tendency to carry...

Katrina had hoped for Disneyland, but Fandom wasn't so bad. She checked the newspapers to see what year it was, then the phonebook, and headed to her dad's place.

She could have used magic, but it would've been frivolous.

"Dai stiho, Dad!" she called from the front porch.

One minute, she'd been sleeping off prom, the next... she'd been dumped rather unceremoniously (she thought) in the middle of the park.

Ugh, great. That meant she'd have to go all the way back to the dorms and, well. Silly island had a habit of getting all twisty-curvy on her sometimes.

(No, it didn't. She just had a habit of getting a little bit lost.)

So it made perfect sense that this was the door she ended up standing in front of and giving a knock.

Three little girls in one neat line, not bothering to knock or use the doorbell but use their own key.

"Dai stiho," Amélie chirped at the head of the batch as she kicked the door in, followed by Annika carrying an extra coffee for Ronan and Christiana twirling the keys. Wizards they were not, but it was only polite to greet someone in their own language. "Mind ringing mère? She's not answering us."
