Room 507, Saturday Evening

Ronan led Bolton to his room from the gym, closing the door behind him. "Feel free to sit anywhere," he said. "I just need to find something, then I can finish healing your arm."

Ronan nodded, and with a few words released the spells holding Bolton's arm still and keeping the pain away.

A quick slice down his palm started the blood flowing, and the words flowed with it; the healing came easily to him, more easily than he'd imagined it would, but it was almost as if something were helping him along, like it was supposed to come this easily for him.

As the spell built, Ronan smiled, and then he was at the end, reciting the last words, and it was done.

Oh, shit, that did not feel good. As the pain relief spell lifted, he tried as hard as he could not to be effected by the sudden return of what it felt like to have the bone in your arm doing what it was doing in his right now, but it was showing all over Bolton's face, in his teeth diffing into his lip as he tried to just take it. It was, after all, in retrospect, an insanely stupid thing to do and he almost deserved this pain.

So when it finally lifted, both sooner than he had thought and not soon enough all at once, he really couldn't help a small, relieved whimper. He hated that it got out, but, at the same time, he was thinking he didn't do too badly, all things considered...

"Better?" Ronan said, softly. He'd been unconscious, the last time any major healing had been done on him -- which was a good thing, as he'd also been nine-tenths dead at the time -- but he still knew what it was like to have pain, and then just have it be gone. It was as much a shock to the system as anything could be.

"Y...yeah," he responded shakily. He thought about rolling his shoulder to see how it felt but was a little nervous to, just in case it wasn't exactly really as good as new. But he did slowly start to work it as curiosity overpowered anxiety, and a weary kind of smile slipped onto his face.

"Thanks. Again. Really..."

Ronan shrugged. "Not a problem. I'm just glad I was there to help." He grinned.

He snorted a slight laugh. "You're glad? Although I'm sorry sorry anyone had to see that brilliant moment of awesomeness there, Jesus...It's just...yeah, definitely an off day..."

Possibly the most off day he'd ever had, but it wasn't like he could remember...

"An 'off day'?" Ronan said, laughing a bit. "I certainly hope that's all it was. If you show up at the clinic with another broken arm? I may force you to take a cast, instead, so you can learn your lesson." But he was grinning when he said it, and it was probably pretty obvious that he didn't mean it.

"'Off' is putting it lightly, maybe," Bolton grinned back. "And I can be cool with that, but only if you promise to sign it."

Ronan laughed a little more, while a little voice inside went, Is he flirting? I think he's flirting!

"I think I could bring myself to do that," he said. "Although I do hope that I get to see you in some other circumstances than at the clinic."

"Maybe?" Bolton asked, tilting his head slightly. He was thinking that it was true that he'd never seen this guy before in his life, and then he realized that, of course, he wouldn't think that because of the whole fact that he couldn't remember anything. He rubbed his forehead a little (with, he realized, the hand on the arm that was just healed, which was just cool). "Ugh, I take that as a pretty good indication that we haven't actually met before, then, which kind of sucks..."

Then again, Ronan had already helped him a lot as it was, so he couldn't hold it against him that he couldn't help with the freakin' memory thing...

"Yeah?" Ronan grinned. "I guess it kind of does, yeah. Would certainly have been nice to... meet you... sooner."

Yes, it was only at that moment that he realized that what he said could be seen from two different angles, and the realization thanks to Ronan's words had his face turning a little red. His hand ducked behind his head, rubbing his neck a little. "Well, I mean...that wasn't quite what I meant..." But he said with a grin like he didn't necessarily disagree.

"Oh?" Ronan was a little confused at that, but... "What do you mean?"

"Well, uh....this morning, I, uh...woke up and didn't know who I was," he admitted, nervously, as if it were all his fault or something and the other guy would hold it against him because, clearly, he was not having any such problems. "Still not sure, actually...So, I mean, if we had met before, you could...help me remember and everything..."

"Yeah?" Ronan asked, frowning. That did help make a couple of things make sense. "Why didn't you say anythig sooner? I can see if there's anything I can do to help, if you'd like."

"I don't know," his nose wrinkled. "It's weird, you know? And, dude, you already healed my broken arm..."

Ronan shrugged. "Yeah, but... seriously, memory is important." He frowned. "I didn't notice anything physically wrong when I was checking you out, but..." His eyes narrowed, and a general detection wizardry sprang up in his head at his command. The words flowed swiftly, but as the spell fell into place he canceled it almost immediately; the glowing of a spell-in-progress was almost blinding, seeming to come from everywhere around him.

"... It looks like it's probably just Fandom-weirdness," he said, after a moment's consideration. "It'll hopefully be gone by the end of the weekend. Or, well, back, I should say -- your memory'll probably be fine. This place tends to have things happen over weekends for some reason." And oh, Powers, he hoped that's all it was, because he had no idea how he'd deal with something like this otherwise; still, for the moment, waiting seemed like the best course of action.

He winced a little at the light, but it was gone soon enough, so he tried to focus on everything Ronan was telling him. "So...I shouldn't worry?" was all he could bother to discern and worrying in spite of it. "Why does it do that? This place, weird things like that?"

Ronan laughed, a little dryly. "No one really seems to know, but no one ever seems to come out with permanent harm, either, so..." He shrugged. "It'll be okay. And if it doesn't get better after tomorrow, I'll see what I can do to fix it."

Taking a moment to just sort of absorb all of that, which was probably easier because there wasn't much else in his head without memories. "Huh."

Yeah, that was about the sum of the deep thoughts on that subject.

Ronan nodded, agreeing. "Yeah. It's... Fandom is a very special place. Don't get me started on the glitter," he added, a bit of a grin gracing his face.

"...Well, now I have to ask about the glitter," he said with a wry sort of grin.

"Well, glitter..." Ronan smiled a little fondly. "It has a history of being associated with boykissy," he said, "and a reputation for causing it. Although I think this is one case where it's not actually true. Not entirely sure, though."

It sounded like he may want to avoid it. Or maybe not. He couldn't really remember.

"What, glitter? It's, like... little bits of shiny stuff. That glitters. Here-" and another string of words fell from his lips, a familiar spell, and down his arm there was suddenly glittering skin in place of regular.
